Commodore Amiga Protracker 4 channel module Recorded from real Amiga, event panned version. This song was used in the Amiga 500 demo "Bayeu" by Nature released at the demoparty Gerp 2020. The demo was placed at 2nd place out of 10. My friend and demo group colleague Yomat, who coded the demo, had an idea of making an Amiga 500 demo, and needed a module that's not too big in file size, so I did this one. It was finished in 2015, but used in 2020. Nowadays, most of my Amiga tunes starts as a sketch in the mobile DAW Caustic, where I make most of the work with the composition and production. Then I transfer the sounds and composition to Protracker. - -- --- -- - The 'event panning' means that the module is post panned, cutting out certain parts which is panned in the stereo field. This means that I've recorded all 4 channels individually, and then positioned them where I wanted them in the stereo field (sometimes isolating certain parts of a track to pan them either to the right or the left). For example, bass, bassdrum and lead is often panned in the center, while pads can be panned to the right or to the left. This is done in Cubase. There are no other post processing done than panning though, keeping it dry from effects and dynamics are preserved. This is different from "classic amiga stereo" where the four channels are fixed to left or to right, no matter of what they contain. - -- --- -- - Links and video widgets at the bottom of the page | V
